Business Development Specialist - with French

Location: Bucharest

Blue Projects is a global consulting company specializing in Engineering and Project Management solutions for leading industrial clients. We are seeking a Business Development Specialist to support international growth by developing new opportunities, managing client relationships, and coordinating strategic tenders—particularly in French-speaking markets.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Growth

  • Identify, research and qualify new prospects in target markets (industrial, FMCG, pharma, heavy industry, logistics, etc.)
  • Build and manage the sales pipeline using CRM tools; track performance and report on leads metrics
  • Support market expansion initiatives, with a focus on French-speaking regions

Tender & Proposal Support

  • Coordinate full-cycle tender preparation and submission (RFP/RFQ/RFI), serving as the main customer
  • Ensure timely and coordinated technical, commercial, and pricing inputs for submissions
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, client requirements and submission deadlines

Client & Market Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
  • Conduct market rand competitive intelligence to identify trends and opportunities in the engineering and project delivery space
  • Manage pre-sales engagement, and post-proposal follow-ups as part of the account management plan

Marketing & Brand Support

  • Draft and update commercial materials (case studies, presentations, French language materials where needed)
  • Collaborate with internal experts to create thought leadership pieces and project success stories
  • Support digital marketing campaigns (LinkedIn, mailers, events) to generate awareness and leads.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineering, project management, commercial, and procurement teams
  • Coordinate with regional leadership to align Business Development activities with strategic priorities

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business development, sales or tender administration
  • Strong project management, coordination and, excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office; Salesforce and SAP are an advantage
  • Fluency in English and French (mandatory).
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, deadline-driven, international environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Availability for occasional local and international business travel when required
