To support our strategic expansion in renewable, energy-efficient, and sustainable manufacturing environments, we are seeking a driven Energy Project Engineer/Manager to join our team in Belgium.

Requirements

Fluency in Dutch and English
5+ years of experience in energy engineering, industrial utilities, or renewable energy projects
Bachelor’s / Master’s in Energy, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
Hands-on experience with energy systems in industrial/FMCG environments (steam, cooling, compressed air, CHP, renewables)
Strong competence in energy system design, performance analysis, and project planning
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams (civil, electrical, mechanical, automation)
Knowledge of renewable technologies (solar, biomass, heat recovery, etc.)
Proficiency in CAD and electrical/energy system modeling software
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Knowledge of MS Office; MS Project is an advantage
Availability for business travel and for relocation in Belgium for site-based assignments is a must

Responsibilities

Review project documentation and define energy/utility system requirements
Develop layouts, technical specifications, and engineering calculations
Work closely with FMCG/industrial clients to align sustainability and cost-efficiency goals
Design and manage energy and utility systems to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance
Conduct simulations, root-cause analysis, and troubleshooting of energy systems
Prepare tender documents (RFQ), review technical offers, and validate MTOs
Manage suppliers, ensuring alignment with project scope and standards
Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestone delivery
Drive continuous improvement and propose innovative technical solutions
Prepare progress reports and technical documentation for stakeholders
Support on-site commissioning, testing, and project handover
